Here you can meet the Unexpected Journey 2025 organisers. Every year the organisation consists of a number of senior students (placement students) of the Academy for Leisure & Events and the Academy for Tourism. Together with two BUas staff members, they are responsible for the entire organisation of the introduction week. Read more about this year’s organisers below!
Hi everyone! I’m Elise Lauret and I’m a third-year International Tourism Management. I am originally from Zeeland but a few years ago I moved to Breda for my studies. I have a passion for traveling, playing sports and attending festivals. I’m excited to make this introduction week an unforgettable journey for new students!
Hola! I’m Quin van Diessen, 22 years old, and I’m currently in my second year of the Leisure & Events Management program. I’ve been living in Breda since last September, but I’m originally from Zeeland. Besides my studies, I work as a bartender on weekends. I love discovering new places and cultures. I’m super excited to organize the introduction week and to create an unforgettable Unexpected Journey!
Hi, I’m Tristan Raaijmakers, 21 years old, and I’m currently in my second year of the Leisure & Events Management program. I live in Oosterhout and work as a bartender. In my free time, I enjoy running, going out with friends, or watching football. I hope to use my skills to strengthen the team and contribute to an amazing event!
Hi everyone! I am Wout Engelen, 20 years old, and currently in second year of Leisure & Events Management and I specialize in Sports & Esports. I am from a small town close to Breda. I enjoy playing sports such as padel and football. Besides that, I also love to travel and explore new places. I am looking forward to start this new journey as an event manager at Unexpected Journey!
