Safety

Highest priority

The organisation and Breda University of Applied Sciences’ top priority is that everyone can safely participate in Unexpected Journey. It is very important that you feel safe and welcome during the introduction week. This is done from the moment you arrive until you go home again.

Supervision by senior students

You participate in Unexpected Journey in the class you will start with at your programme. Each class will be accompanied by at least two Hoppasses, these are senior students from that programme. These students are your first point of contact and stay with your class throughout the programme.

There are also several teams made up of senior students. They take care of entertainment, production or meals, for example. All senior students went through an application process in which they talked to and were selected by the organisation of the introduction week.

Caretakers and confidants

During the introduction week, caretakers are always available. These are senior students with whom you can have a confidential conversation. Would you rather have a confidential conversation with a BUas staff member during the introduction? There will always be a confidant present during Unexpected Journey.

First aid and security

During Unexpected Journey, several first aiders and security guards will be present to ensure your safety and the safety of your classmates and fellow students.
