Here you can meet the Unexpected Journey 2023 organisers. Every year the organisation consists of a number of senior students (placement students) of the Academy for Leisure & Events and the Academy for Tourism. Together with two BUas staff members, they are responsible for the entire organisation of the introduction week. Read more about this year’s organisers below!
Hello everyone! My name is Freek Mertens and I get to be part of the Unexpected Journey organisation this year. With my 25 years of life experience, including eight years as a student within the hospitality and events industry, I am looking forward to the upcoming period. I live near Breda, so I can tell you plenty about it. In my spare time, you can find me in the city or at a festival. We are going to make it an unforgettable week together!
Hello! My name is Evi Holtrop, I am 21 years old and I am currently in the third year of my Leisure & Events Management studies. I live in Oosterhout, but can often be found in Breda. Hi everyone! My name is Bram Verhofstadt, I am currently in my fourth year of the Tourism Management programme and I am 22 years old. I come from Horn in Limburg, near Roermond. I am a sporty person who is very interested in culinary activities. I am also interested in organising events. I am very much looking forward to organising Unexpected Journey 2023 and give you an unforgettable experience!
